Is your community a rural area with a population less than 15,000 and a downtown in need of revitalization? The Rural Zone program may assist in your downtown revitalization efforts. The program targets rural downtown areas adversely impacted by local economic conditions and offers economic development incentives in the form of tax credits for investment and job creation within the designated Rural Zone. Up to 10 new Rural Zone communities will be designated in 2019, with applications dues in August 2018.
