Government Management Indicators Survey (GOMI)

Program Description | Downloads & Related Links | Contact Information

Program Description

This survey collects data on local government operations, including financial management practices, service delivery arrangements, public facilities provided, and planning efforts. This information is helpful in identifying trends in local government operations. As such the data can be useful to state level policy makers and researchers, as well as local governments themselves. The latest version of GOMI can be submitted electronically or downloaded from a PDF file. Results from the survey are compiled to produce the annual GOMI Information Catalogs.

Another important use of the GOMI data is that is it will be used to develop future Community Indicators. These indicators are a new effort by DCA to produce short reports on communities within Georgia. The reports will present data on key community characteristics and provide the average reader with a sense of how their community stacks up against other communities.
