Notice of the Public Hearing and Request for Public Comment for the State of Georgia’s
HOME-ARP Allocation Plan – Substantial Amendment #1
The State of Georgia will host a public hearing webinar to present the HOME-ARP Allocation Plan – Substantial Amendment outlining updated information and activities for the Georgia HOME-ARP Program. The State of Georgia encourages citizens, public agencies, and other interested parties to review the contents of the Substantial Amendment to the HOME-ARP Allocation Plan and to submit their written comments no later than May 15th, 2024.
In 2021, Congress appropriated $5 billion in American Rescue Plan (ARP) funds to the HUD HOME program to benefit qualifying individuals and families who are homeless, at risk of homelessness, or vulnerable populations. Information on the HUD HOME-ARP program can be found at www.hudexchange.info/programs/home-arp/.
The State of Georgia’s HOME-ARP Allocation Plan was approved by HUD on November 16, 2022 and can be found on HUD’s Website here. Due to programmatic changes, the State is amending the plan.
A draft of the State's HOME-ARP Allocation Plan – Substantial Amendment will be available for review from May 1, 2024 to May 15, 2024. A copy of the Substantial Amendment is attached below. The report may also be obtained upon request from the Georgia Department of Community Affairs by emailing HOMEARP@dca.ga.gov.
